This project is intended for a Ceramics class of 9th graders. In this unit, students learn about the ancient history of coiled vessels and ceramic games as they develop and apply skills in coiling and sculpting. They create functional tic-tac-toe game pieces, a game board/lid, and a vessel to contain the pieces when they are not being used.
