Hi! I'm Annabel Hatfield.

I received my BFA from the University of Utah in Illustration, with minors in both Computer Science and Game Development. Ever since I was young, I knew I loved art. However, while I was pursuing my bachelor's, I also discovered my passion for teaching. This led me to pursue my Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Education with an endorsement in Secondary Visual Arts; I will be graduating from Weber State University in Spring 2026. In my classrooms, I prioritize creating a safe, welcoming environment where every student feels comfortable enough to take creative risks and grow. I believe that a successful art activity strikes a balance between creative restrictions and room to play and explore. My personal artwork often focuses on nature and playful designs. My work is textural and features bold color. I have used and taught a wide variety of art media, including drawing, painting, digital illustration, printmaking, ceramics, sculpting, and bookbinding. I believe that creative expression has a place in every person's life, and I aim to help people find the joy in artmaking.
